Description

Dry Mouth or Hyposalivation or Xerostomia is a condition in which your salivary glands fail to secrete enough saliva to keep your mouth wet. Its mostly seen in elderly due to use of medications, such as antihistamines, anticholinergic, muscle relaxant etc. with potential xerostomic effects. It can be also seen in patients undergoing radiation therapy for cancer. Treatments at our clinic are designed to correct the underlying cause and/or to enhance salivation with topical and systemic stimulants.
