Description

TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) Therapy can be used to ease discomforting pain, inflammation and swelling surrounding the muscles of the lower jaw. The Laser beams are applied in three points, which are: a) The posterior aspect of the joint in maximum opening of the mouth to treat the posterior branch of the Auriculotemporal nerve b) In the same region, but the laser beams are passed from inside the ear canals c) Inside the mouth, the laser beams are passed from the third molar tooth region. In every visit we record the difference of pain felt by a patient during maximum mouth opening and left – right movement of the mouth. Treatments take about 10 minutes and should be applied two or more times a week, although the number of appointments required varies between cases.
