LNAP is a minimally-invasive alternative to Hands-on gum surgery. The method to repair the damage from gum disease is to get rid of the infection and close up the infected pockets between the gum and the teeth. This therapy has been shown to provide new bone growth and stability in patients with severe gum infections. Laser also plays a key role in re-establishing new dental tissue (i.e. new cementum-mediated periodontal ligament) attachment and induces periodontal regeneration. In our clinical practice we have also noticed, since lasers never cuts into your oral tissues, many of our patients choose to take this option as they are less afraid to get their oral health problems fixed.
