Description

Primary teeth or Baby teeth are more susceptible to tooth decay because they have a thinner enamel layer than permanent teeth. Additionally, the pulp layer in primary teeth is much closer to the surface of the tooth, which means pulp infections can occur more easily in baby teeth. A pediatric tooth filling strengthens a tooth damaged by decay and stops it from spreading any further. Pediatric dental restoration procedure we offer: a) Tooth-colored filling or Composite Filling –Cavities that are small or only found on one or two surfaces of teeth are commonly filled using Composite filling material. They are strong and are long-lasting. b) Sealants or Preventive resin restorations – Often, bacteria hide in teeth grooves causing cavities. Sealants prevent cavities by filling in these grooves that children may have difficulty brushing. c) Crowns (Caps) – Baby teeth with large cavities or decay in multiple location can be restored with Stainless steel crowns or white zirconium crowns d) Replacement of prematurely lost primary teeth – Losing a baby tooth ahead of its time can cause oral developmental problems with teeth spacing and mouth arch. This is when we use space maintainers for easy permanent tooth eruption. Prevention is better than cure! Pediatric dental restorations are important because they help preserve the integrity of your child’s teeth and prevent more damage from occurring. These restorations not only ensure sufficient tooth function and restore aesthetics butprotects natural tooth structure and promotes overall oral health of your child.
