MULTIPLE TOOTH RE-PLACEMENT
• Surgical Intervention (Has three individual stages) - After having a detailed consultation and getting your bony tissue analysis done with our Chief Dental Surgeon and Implantologist, Dr. Vadivelan Jeyachandran, the treatment is further divided into three stages, which are a) Placement of the Implant – The procedure is done under local anesthesia where space in the jaw bone is created using a small drill and a screw like implant component is fixed. Do not worry, the drill is very quiet, so it wouldn’t startle or scare you. Once the implant is placed, the gums are stitched and an oral dressing is applied. Then, we wait for the implant and the bone to integrate to ensure a secure attachment. This might take a few months’ time. b) Attaching the Abutment – Once your oral soft tissues are healed completely, we place an appointment for your second stage of treatment. During this, our doctor would re-expose the implant and place a component called the ‘abutment’ on the implant and take an impression needed to fit the crown.c) Fitting the Crown – During the final stage of your treatment, you receive your new crown(s). Creating the crowns may take a few extra appointments, and they differ on a case-to-case basis. You might also be called in for a trial before the final crown(s) are delivered to ensure that everything fits perfectly.• Recovery and Follow-up Appointments–Recovery time varies from a patient to patient. You will receive a detailed list of post-operative instructions by your Dentist, based on the kind of procedures you have had. Although you will be undoubtedly excited to get back the smile you have always wanted, its mandatory to visit us once in every 6-8 months and to take care of your implants by improving your oral hygiene subsequently.
